While traveling to Beijing, China for work, I knew the best way to adjust to the massive 16 hour time difference was to stay to an exercise routine. We stayed at the Downtown Beijing Holiday Inn, which luckily had its own little gym with 2 treadmills. I started each day with a daily treadmill run.
The first morning was a trip because the treadmills were in km/hour. So I had no clue with my paces should be. So for the second day, I came up with a pace chart:
6 miles/hour - 9.7 km/hour
6.5 miles/hour - 10.5 km/hour
7.0 miles/hour - 11.3 km/hour
7.5 miles/hour - 12 km/hour
I didn't make it to 12 km/hour pace. It felt like the belt was going so fast. Next time I'm in China, I will have to find a yoga class!
