When: 6 week program from July 14 - August 20, Every Tuesday and Thursday
With triathlon season a little less than half-way through, one of my major goals is to reduce my 10K run race leg time (on a flat course) to 45 minutes, which equates to a 7:14 min/mile pace and average speed of 8.29 miles per hour. This is a very ambitious goal so I am not completely convinced it is attainable in this time frame but what I do know is that my run speed has improved more than 10 fold since my first race so why not aim high and see what happens!
Today was my first self-imposed 10K time trial run, which I plan to repeat on a weekly basis. I also plan on incorporating some track speed training workouts into my routine. I have seen how far I have come so let's see how fast I can go!
